WIDE FIT

If you have wide feet, the One® Wide is the Lejan model designed specifically to give you more room. It keeps the barefoot essence of the One® (zero drop, thin flexible sole and anatomical toe box), but adds a wider Wide last, designed to give extra width from the base of the shoe and not just in the toe area.

The rest of our collection also has an anatomical toe box, so it offers more room for your toes than a conventional shoe. However, the One® Wide goes a step further thanks to a last developed specifically for feet that need extra width.

Anatomical toe box and Wide fit are not the same thing

The anatomical toe box, found across all our models, respects the shape of your foot and leaves room for your toes to sit naturally without being squeezed.

The Wide fit, on the other hand, changes the construction and proportions of the shoe to give a roomier fit. It's not just about making the toe box bigger: the One® Wide is designed on its own last to suit wider feet better.

That's why, although all our models have a roomier toe box than a conventional shoe, the One® Wide is Lejan's dedicated model for anyone who needs extra width.

How to know if you need the One® Wide

If you're usually comfortable in barefoot shoes with an anatomical toe box, the standard fit of our collection is probably enough for you.

If you're not sure which fit suits your foot best, the best thing is to measure both length and width and compare them with our size guide. That way you can check whether the standard fit gives you the room you need or whether, based on your measurements, the One® Wide is a better option.

One® Wide: a dedicated fit for wide feet

The One® Wide shares the essential barefoot features of the rest of the collection (zero drop, thin flexible sole and anatomical toe box), but stands out for its wider last developed specifically for this model.

It's this last that allows for more room and a different fit from the standard One® or the Melrose®, which keep our standard fit with anatomical toe box.

FAQs about barefoot shoes for wide feet

Do all Lejan models have a wide fit?

No. All our models have an anatomical toe box, designed to give your toes more room than a conventional shoe. The Wide fit, developed specifically to offer extra width, belongs to the One® Wide.

What's the difference between the anatomical toe box and the Wide fit?

The anatomical toe box mainly refers to the shape of the front of the shoe, which leaves more room for your toes.

The Wide fit affects the construction and proportions of the model, resulting in a shoe with a roomier fit. That's why the One® Wide isn't simply a One® with a bigger toe box, but a model built on a last specifically designed for wide feet.

Is the One® Wide also suitable for bunions?

Its extra width can help reduce the pressure the shoe puts on the forefoot and give more room around the big toe. Even so, the fit will depend on the shape and needs of each foot.

Which size should I choose if I have wide feet?

The length guide is the same as for the rest of the collection: we recommend leaving around 1 cm between your longest toe and the end of the insole.

To choose between the standard fit and the Wide, we recommend measuring the width of your foot too and checking our size guide. If you're still not sure, drop us a message and we'll help you choose.
